Davis vs Garcia betting odds

Even though it’s a 50/50 fight, most bettors will have accurately predicted Tank Davis to win this yet-to-take-place match. Once all is said and done, what advantages does Ryan Garcia have in this super lightweight match?

First off, Garcia unquestionably has the quickest hands in the sport. Davis is 5’10” tall, equally swift, and doesn’t have Garcia’s physical strength. Garcia enjoys a theoretical edge over his competition.

But, actual battles don’t happen on paper, and Garcia cannot compare to Gervonta Davis in terms of fighting ability. Not that the battle is already decided; far from it. Yet the biggest obstacle Ryan Garcia will confront in his brief career is himself.

The current favorite is Gervonta Davis, who has odds of -260, while Ryan Garcia has odds of +200. The first encounter between Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) and Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) will occur on Wednesday in Manhattan. The opponents will then fly to Los Angeles to attend a second press conference on Thursday in Beverly Hills.
